The
Spanish bank, Bankinter, and the telecommunications
operator, Vodafone España, have announced
the signing of a cooperation agreement on 25
January 2005, whereby the two groups will develop
banking products and services accessible by
mobile telephone and promote the use of this
channel among their mutual customers.
In concrete terms, the two partners will launch
"BlackBerry Vodafone Broker", a service
which is accessible on two Vodafone mobile telephone
models, equipped with the Bankinter online brokerage
application. BlackBerry Vodafone Broker will
enable Bankinter and Vodafone customers to execute
financial transactions in real time on the national
market and on more than 20 foreign stock markets.
They will also have access to stock market information
and research.
