Citi China Named Best SME Service Brand

Citibank (China) Co., Ltd. has been named the ‘Best SME [Small and Medium Enterprise] Service Brand' by China CFO Magazine in its 2014 Top CFO's Most Trustworthy Bank Award. Citi was the only foreign bank to win this award.

Nancy Zhang, Head of Citi Commercial Bank China, said, "We are delighted to receive this award on our 10th anniversary. It's a double celebration! We have always been focused on supporting our clients' businesses through innovation, and this award is testament to that commitment."

Citi Commercial Bank China was established in 2004, making it the first foreign bank to provide world-class financial services to SMEs in China. The Bank's services leverage Citi's unparalleled global network and tailored solutions according to customer needs, including cash management, trade financing and service, corporate financing, etc. Citi supports the development of high-growth enterprises through time and helps clients expand their business domestically and overseas to seize globalization opportunities.

In the last decade, Citi Commercial Bank China has seen steady and rapid business growth. The team that started with a group of about 10 staff has since grown to nearly 200, with a fair number of them being located across the country in Shanghai, Beijing Tianjin, Dalian, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Nanjing, Chongqing, Chengdu and Changsha. Citi's presence in these areas is meant to serve regions highly concentrated with SMEs, including Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Bohai Bay and Sichuan-Chongqing Economic Circle.

Since 2007, the annual China Top CFO's Most Trustworthy Bank Award has been in the spotlight among China's financial professionals and domestic financial institutions. The judging panel is made up of decision makers from Chinese renowned enterprises and industry experts who shortlisted the winners based on an initial survey taken by CFOs in China. The results reflect the latest trends and recognize banking products and services considered by financial decision makers in Chinese companies.
