Broadway National Bank
Broadway National Bank (the original name of BNB Bank) was organized by a group of Korean-American businessmen who saw the need for a locally owned financial institution to serve the ever increasing population of Korean importers and wholesalers who had located along Broadway, south of midtown Manhattan. The bank was chartered by the Comptroller of the Currency of the United States and opened for business on September 16, 1986. The first banking office was a small, narrow facility located on Broadway, between 27 th and 28 th Streets.
